✨ Before You Plan… Ask God First ✨

As we inch closer to a brand-new year, everybody starts gearing up — writing affirmations, setting New Year’s resolutions, planning internal glow-ups and external transformations. It’s that season when we get excited about what we want to shift, change, fix, or build.

But let me pause and ask a question many of us forget to ask:

Where is God in these plans?

We map out our steps as if we already know how the story ends… but, truthfully, we don’t. We don’t know what God has prepared for us. The real question is:

Do we ask Him? Do we stop long enough to say, “Lord, what are Your plans for me? “Reveal them… and help me accept them.”

Because accepting God’s plan isn’t always the easiest part — sometimes that’s the real faith test.

You already know what Jeremiah 29:11 says:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

If you’re not familiar with this scripture, go ahead and read it — and read a little before and after it, too. Let it settle in your spirit.

Here’s the truth: God has plans for you, whether you voted on them or not. And the best way to avoid unnecessary detours, heartbreaks, dead-ends, and spiritual potholes is to connect with the One who designed your journey.

When we move without Him:

  • We end up in the wrong places,

  • at the wrong times,

  • missing blessings that had our names on them.

When we move with Him:

  • We walk into purpose,

  • We experience alignment,

  • And we find peace even in the stretching seasons.

Yes, our motto is JuS DeW U — There Is No Other Way. But let’s add the truth behind the truth:

JuS DeW U… after you connect with HIM. Because he knows the what, when, where, why, and how of your life long before you even think to ask.

Let me put it in a bit of humor and clarity:

You can’t JuS DeW U until God helps you “DeW N U.” Translation: Do nothing without Him.

Sometimes it takes a village to lift us, support us, speak life into us — but never forget this:

God is the one who forms the village. He orders the steps, sends the helpers, opens the doors, and places the right people in your path to give you understanding, strength, knowledge, and wisdom.

As you prepare for this new year, don’t just create a plan.

Ask God for His plan — and then walk in it boldly.

There’s no better way.

JuS DeW U
